PEER RECOVERY COACHING SERVICES

RECOVERY COACHING

Peer-to-peer connection is at the heart of all WISHOPE programming and a signature feature of the organization is a unique tiered approach to providing Recovery Coaching that fits the unique needs of individuals in or seeking recovery or their family members. A Peer Recovery Coach (RC) is someone who has experience living with an addiction or mental health disorder, or who has an affected family member. An RC has received nationally accredited and state-recognized training to support, mentor, advocate, refer resources, conduct recovery wellness planning, maintain trauma-informed and sensitive support, educate on multiple pathways to recovery, and provide a person-centered approach. RCs have expertise that professional training cannot replicate; lived experience is the foundation of their effectiveness, offering a bridge of understanding and hope to someone seeking or in need of help.
