Get Involved with Project WisHope
Whether you’re giving back and volunteering at one of our drop-in centers, helping us to advocate for improved policy, leading recovery support efforts locally or helping us to raise funds for our cause, you can be a force for change for Wisconsin’s’ recovery community members.
Volunteer for Change:
At Project WisHope, our volunteers are the foundation of our programs and day-to-day operations. Since our services are primarily developed and run by volunteers whose lives have been touched by substance use disorders in one way or another, volunteers are vital to our success and mission. Project WisHope volunteers are primarily interested in giving back, enhancing their life skills and connecting with members of the recovery community. Our volunteers are a very important part of our team and are included in our community discussion on what’s working and what isn’t, how to improve our programs and services, and how to further integrate recovery into treatment plans. Volunteers also share ideas for improvement through regular meetings and participation in focus groups. Your empathy and personal experience can be a valuable tool in helping us erase the stigma and support each other. Learn more…
Share Your Story:
In today’s world, social media is a very powerful tool that we can use to offset the scandalous and hurtful stories that the media often shares about individuals who are struggling with substance use and mental health disorders. By sharing our stories both individually and collectively, we share the possibilities of a better life and the message that recovery is possible. To promote recovery in Wisconsin and empower our recovery community members, we want to show as many faces and voices of recovery as we can across our various social media platforms. This includes our Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Instagram accounts. Learn more…
