You will work in an outpatient setting with a varying client caseload (averaging 10-16) to:

  • Coordinate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure that quality services to clients, families, and referral sources are provided.
  • Provide treatment planning, coordination and collaboration with outside providers, clear discharge planning, and staffing with medical and psychiatric care, when appropriate.
  • Represent WisHope as part of the team at trainings, meetings, and other community events.
  • Provide various outpatient SUD & Mental Health services with the goal of patient recovery.
  • Conduct intakes and monitor individual, group, and family therapies.
  • Develop service plans and conduct reviews as needed throughout the duration of treatment.
  • Provide SUD & Mental Health assessments, counseling, referrals, and intervention services.
  • Complete and maintain documentation according to federal and state guidelines.
  • Complete any additional tasks needed to provide quality services to clients.
  • Coordinate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure that quality services to clients, families, and referral sources are provided.
  • Participate in annual cultural competency and diversity training and seeking safety training and are beyond qualified to care for those we serve.

We offer a total rewards package, including:

  • Salary of $40,000 – $63,000 (dependent on experience)
  • A culture of resources, education, advocacy and peer support
  • Flexible schedule: Full-time within clinic hours of 8am to 8pm
  • More 1:1 time with your patients
  • Administrative staff that completes scheduling and billing tasks
  • Interdisciplinary team approach

  • Accrued paid time off, one week for every year of service, up to 3 weeks

Job Description

As a Peer Recovery Coach/Peer Support Specialist, we support the person who has overdosed or is struggling with a substance use disorder, begin their path to recovery. Our goal is to help individuals connect with resources and offer the support they need to begin their recovery journey.

License/Certification:

  • Driver’s License (Required)
  • Must be Peer Recovery Coach Certified
  • MUST HAVE AT LEAST 1 YEAR IN LONG-TERM RECOVERY.

  • Direct and assist clear communication with Billing and Insurance claims and referral sources.
  • Provide treatment planning, coordination and collaboration with outside providers, clear discharge planning, and staffing with medical and psychiatric care, when appropriate.
  • Supervise clinical and administrative staff to ensure all DHS requirements, when applicable, are being met.
  • Represent WisHope as part of the management team at trainings, meetings, and other community events.
  • Provide various outpatient SUD & Mental Health services with the goal of patient recovery.
  • Guide and support clients with Co-occurring disorders approach, with primary focus on SUD.
  • Conduct intakes and monitor individual, group, and family therapies.
  • Develop service plans and conduct reviews as needed throughout the duration of treatment.
  • Provide primary SUD & Mental Health assessments, counseling, referrals, and intervention services.
  • Complete and maintain documentation according to federal and state guidelines.

Are you prepared to be our Clinical Supervisor?

  • Master’s degree (Required)
  • Five (5) years of relevant experience, including co-occurring disorders approach (Preferred)
  • Must be at least 18 years of age and be able to pass a background check, DMV check & drug screen as needed
  • Required License/Certification: Valid driver’s license and State of Wisconsin LPC, LCSW, LMFT and SAC
  • Good verbal and written communication skills

Our Residential Coordinators are responsible for the overall supervision and coordination of the recovery facility including overseeing daily operations of the facility, coordinating daily facility tasks, conducting inspections related to chore assignments, and daily living, conducting searches of the clients’ personal property, providing transportation to and from the clinics, appointments, grocery shopping, support groups, and as needed. In this crucial role, you will also:

  • Provide care for clients presenting with SUD primary and MH secondary.
  • Engage all residents in conversations and activities that are edifying and stimulating
  • Observe and report any unusual behaviors or potential areas of conflict between residents
  • Assist clients with completing and improving their daily life skills
  • Prepare bedrooms for all new residents and monitor client’s rooms for cleanliness and ensure they have the items that they need (i.e., linen, hygiene products, clean clothes, etc.)
  • Ensure that all residents are properly respecting and maintaining common areas (esp. kitchen, living room) and that they are following facility rules including curfew/lights out hours
  • Observe and report any unusual behaviors or potential areas of conflict between residents.
  • Monitor proper use and functioning of appliances and other equipment. Observe any unusual activities that may pose a safety or nuisance issue for the clients or neighbors.
  • Maintain an inventory of all supplies (i.e., cleaning supplies, cooking utensils, furniture, keys etc.).
  • Coordinate and hold Facility Meetings, Community Meetings and a weekend Wrap Up or Life Skills Groups
  • Welcome and introduce new clients to all existing residents
  • Communicate in a culturally sensitive manner
  • Educate and encourage clients to utilize community-based tools (such as, 12 Step Program, Recovery Dharma, Smart Recovery, Celebrate Recovery, Refuge Recovery, et. al.); facilitate applicable workbooks and provide continued support and engagement
  • Supervise medication

We offer a total rewards package, including:

  • Hourly Wage: $12.00 to $15.00 (dependent on experience)
  • A culture of resources, education, advocacy and peer support
  • Full-time; Wednesday through Sunday overnight
  • Interdisciplinary team approach
