Feel Good Friday. Sometimes the best kind of Friday doesn’t need a drink to feel like a treat. This week, Project WisHope is bringing that idea to life with Sober Sip & Paint, a night built entirely around creativity, connection, and a good mocktail.
What to Expect
Paint, create, and sip something delicious, all substance free. The Beloit Community Center is hosting Sober Sip & Paint on Friday, September 25, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. All painting supplies are included, so no experience or equipment needed, just show up ready to make something.
Complimentary virgin piña coladas and snacks round out the evening. You’ll leave with a finished painting and, more importantly, a night of good memories that didn’t require anything harder than fruit juice.
For anyone who wants to stay a little longer, an AA meeting follows at 9 PM.
RSVP Required
Space is limited, so RSVP is required by September 18. Call or text Morgan at 608-514-9605 to reserve your spot.

Why an Evening Like This Matters
Creativity and connection don’t need alcohol to work, but for a long time, a lot of social spaces made it feel that way. Sip and paint nights flip that script entirely. The “sip” is fun on its own, the “paint” gives your hands and mind something to focus on, and the room is full of people who already understand why a substance-free night out matters.
It’s proof that a fun night out was never about what was in the cup. It was always about the company and the experience.
This Week’s Invitation
If you’ve never done a paint night before, this is a low-pressure place to try it. If you have, come see what a completely sober version feels like. Either way, an evening of color, connection, and calm is waiting.
Curious why creativity shows up so often in recovery spaces? Research on art therapy in addiction recovery has found it plays a meaningful role in the recovery process, especially in processing emotions that are hard to put into words. Can’t make it Friday?
