September Wins at Project WisHope

Feel Good Friday. September is wrapping up, and it’s worth pausing to look back at everything this community showed up for. A full month of connection, September Wins, one event at a time.

The Month in Review

Taco Night Potluck kicked things off in Beloit, with tacos, community, and a guest speaker to start the month connected. The Brewers watch party brought people together in Waukesha to cheer on the home team, and the Packers watch party in Baraboo followed with food, prizes, and a Grieve, Breathe, Grow meeting to close out the day.

Bingo Night filled the Waukesha Community Center with pizza, prizes, and a lot of laughs.

From Brea, one of our Peer Recover Coaches: “I think it went really well! I ran out of bingo cards and had to make copies, lol. I didn’t expect so many people to show up!”

Sober Sip & Paint gave Beloit a night of creativity and connection, proof that a fun night out never needed alcohol to work. And the Family Fun Cookout at Webb Park wrapped up the month with grilling, games, and good people, the whole family welcome. But also, you can never go wrong with a taco potluck:

Why These September Wins Matter

None of these events required anyone to hit a milestone or prove anything to belong. They just required showing up. That’s the whole point. Recovery gets built in moments like these: a shared meal, a shared game, a shared laugh, again and again, until it adds up to something real.

Every person who walked through the door this September, whether it was their first event or their fiftieth, added something to this community. That’s a win, every time.

Looking Ahead

October’s calendar is already filling up. If September reminded you how good it feels to show up, that feeling doesn’t have to end with the month. Check the events calendar for what’s coming next. Also, follow us on Facebook and Instagram for up to the day updates.
